Healing & Wellness for African-Canadian Women

Our visual brand and content strategy for the Velma Carter Centre started with an extensive questionnaire and research into Alberta and Canada's current and historic black history. We then created a timeless visual brand focused on strength, unity and history. Pastels were used to soften the messaging to be female-centric. The logo emphasizes Velma Carter at the heart of the Centre “C.” The circles represent the organization's communication and resolution style through woman-led healing circles. The language on the website reinforces their commitment to helping Black Women foster self-empowerment and build community.
